Image Editor, Background Remove or Inpainting — which one?
Change a background with the Image Editor, delete one entirely with Background Remove, and target one precise area with Inpainting.
These three overlap enough to be confusing, and picking wrong costs you credits. The distinction is simple once you see it.

Image Editor
The general-purpose tool for any change to a photo, and the one you want most of the time. It is the Image Generator with a mode toggle — upload an image or pull one from your Library, then describe the change in words. It understands the whole image, so it can change backgrounds, weather, lighting and time of day, add or remove people and objects, transfer styles, or move a subject into an entirely new scene and pose.
Uploading a reference image on the Image Generator switches it into edit mode automatically. There is no separate image editing page.
Background Remove
Does exactly one thing: cuts the subject out and gives you a transparent PNG. At 3 credits it is the cheapest operation on the platform, and it also works on video for 15. Use it for cutouts and compositing — not for replacing a background, which the Image Editor does better.
Inpainting
For when you need precision. Mask the exact area with a brush, rectangle or eraser, describe what should be there instead, and only that region changes. Reach for it when a described edit keeps altering parts of the image you wanted left alone.
