How do I make my credits go further?
Draft cheap and finish expensive, batch carefully, and use the free tools for everything that isn’t generation.
Draft cheap, finish expensive
Nail your prompt on Z Image at 2 credits before running it on Nano Banana Pro at 15 to 30. The composition and wording you learn transfers directly, and you will usually spend fewer total credits than getting there through expensive iterations.
Match the model to the job
- Only removing a background? Background Remove is 3 credits. Doing it through the Image Editor costs 5 to 30.
- Only making something bigger? Upscale is 5 credits, far cheaper than regenerating at 4K.
- Only changing the aspect ratio? Reframe is 6 credits and keeps your original content.
- Need one small area changed? Inpainting at 10 to 20 beats regenerating the whole image.
Watch the multipliers
Three settings quietly multiply your cost: number of images (up to 4x), resolution (1K to 4K roughly doubles or triples most models), and video duration. Check the gear icon before a big batch.
Use the free tools
Timeline editing and export in the Video Editor are free. So are Projects, Library management, and planning with the AI Agent. Generating one long expensive clip is often worse value than generating two short ones and cutting them together for nothing.
Earn instead of buying
Challenges award bonus credits for tasks like making your first image or trying the editor, and progress is verified automatically from your activity. The Creator Program awards credit budgets and bonus credits for completing funded briefs.
